I’ve been studying Turkish intensively in Istanbul for two months.
I spend 5 days a week with a class of about 13 students from around the world. Through our learning we get to know about each other; our homeland, different customs, recipes, words, etiquette, social behaviour etc…
I find it fascinating as a photographer, an observer and an admirer for all cultures to be in a class room learning my Father’s language and at the same time learning about other cultures.
I wanted to create an observational series on my classmates and their cultures and how they found their way to Turkey.
Here is a sneak peek of my first set.
Namik from Bosnia.
Tomoko from Japan.
